The stacked soybean line MON-877Ø8-9 x MON-89788-1 x ACS-GMØØ6-4 was obtained through the traditional cross breading of each of the parental organisms to produce a soybean that expresses each of Dicamba monooxygenase, PAT and EPSPS genes. The expression of these genes are expected to confer tolerance to dicamba, glufosinate and glyphosate herbicides.
The term “Recipient organism” refers to an organism (either already modified or non-modified) that was subjected to genetic modification, whereas “Parental organisms” refers to those that were involved in cross breeding or cell fusion.

DNA insert from MON-89788-1, vector PV-GMGOX20
MON89788 is a second-generation glyphosate-tolerant soybean product, was developed by introduction of the cp4 epsps gene cassette consisting of a chimeric promoter sequence derived from Arabidopsis thaliana Tsf1 gene promoter and enhancer sequences and from the 35S of the Figwort Mosaic Virus.
DNA insert from MON-877Ø8-9, vector PV-GMHT4355
MON 87708 soybean line was developed as a marker-free LMO to exhibit tolerance to dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid) herbicide.
DNA insert from ACS-GMØØ6-4; vector pB2/35SAcK
This LMO contains the coding sequence for the phosphinothricin N-acetyltransferase (pat) gene. This results in tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate.
For additional information on this LMO, please refer to the records of the parental LMOs.
