Innovax-ND-IBD is a live recombinant vaccine based on Turkey herpesvirus (Meleagrid alphaherpesvirus 1) containing expressing fusion protein from Newcastle disease virus (Orthoavulavirus javaense) and viral protein 2 from Infectious bursal disease virus (Avibirnavirus gumboroense). Thus, the recombinant viral vaccine Innovax-ND-IBD gives protection against Marek’s disease, Newcastle disease and infectious bursal disease.
The term “Recipient organism” refers to an organism (either already modified or non-modified) that was subjected to genetic modification, whereas “Parental organisms” refers to those that were involved in cross breeding or cell fusion.

The modified turkey herpesvirus contains two gene cassettes for the expression of the antigens Orthoavulavirus javaense (Newcastle disease virus) fusion protein and Avibirnavirus gumboroense (Infectious bursal disease virus) viral protein 2.
The expression of fusion protein is under control of a Cytomegalovirus humanbeta5 immediate-early promoter and terminator. The expression of the fusion protein was enhanced by the presence of an intron associated with the promoter. The protein coding sequence was sourced from NDV Genotype II Clone 30.
The expression of viral protein 2 is under control of a Muromegalovirus muridbeta1 immediate-early promoter and a Macaca mulatta polyomavirus 1 (SV40) polyadenylation signal. The protein coding sequence was sourced from IBDV strain Faragher 52/70.
The expression of fusion protein is under control of a Cytomegalovirus humanbeta5 immediate-early promoter and terminator.
